At AFGHAN HAYAT, We continue our dedication to hand made foods with naan breads and pastries made daily with locally-sourced, grains, as well as a produce forward day-time menu.
We are a restaurant in Dandenong in Australia serving contemporary cuisine rooted in Afghanistan culture. Many of the dishes on our menu were inspired by Afghanistan culture. We celebrates the best of Afghani dishes with welcoming hospitality and service.
New Managment took the control of Afghan Rahimi On 1st December 2020. The New Proprietor of the Afghan Hayat is HAYAT NAJIMI. At Afghan Hayat, New managment believes in everything at its prime. Our focus is to bring the best and most responsibly sourced ingredients to the table.

Had banquet 3 and loved the naan bread , the rice chicken tikka and lamb skewers. All in all it was a nice experience tasting Afghan cuisine 👌
Amazing food! Authentic Afghan food for serious foodies…so satisfying! Try to catch an Uber as won’t be able to drive back after eating here…
Everytime we order here we are not only satisfied but SO FULL! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! Honestly the kabuli pulao with lamb shank is SO FREEKING GOOD! and huge portion! 2 giant lamb shanks and heaps of rice! So tender definutly get the lamb karahi to go with it yumyumyum We ate so much we are in a food coma lol You get generous sides too! (We already started eating so they look empty in the photo hahahhaha sorry!
I’m impressed with the ambience, including the marble tables. It’s the first time I tried out the Afghan cuisine, which is deliciously seared in my mind for good 😊
